Would You Pay Aston Martin V8 Vantage Money for a Geiger Mustang GT?
Wow, guys, I realize this sounds way too good to be true, but Geiger Cars just announced an incredible deal. For about $125,000, you can buy a Ford Mustang GT. A really, really, really cool Ford Mustang GT. Don’t worry, it has some extra power too.
Let’s build a bit of V8 GT context first:
- Mustang GT ($33,000 MSRP): 435 horsepower, 400 lb-ft
- Mustang GT350 ($48,000 MSRP): 526 horsepower, 429 lb-ft
- Mustang GT350R ($61,000): 526 horsepower, 429 lb-ft, less weight, better handling
- Hennessey Mustang HPE750 ($60,000-70,000): 774 horsepower, 648 lb-ft
The Ford Mustang Geiger GT 820 uses a re-tooled and supercharged version of the 5.0-liter V8 to produce a whopping 820 horsepower and 560 lb-ft. Geiger put in a new crank, forged pistons, and steel connecting rods. It also has a stainless steel sports exhaust and a cold air intake.
To manage that power, this ‘Stang has a carbon fiber body kit, a front splitter, side skirts, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, a rear lip spoiler, 20-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels, and Michelin tires. Underneath, it has the sport tuned suspension and the performance package with Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, and a 3.73:1 final drive ratio.
It’s a hell of a package, and you’d likely be the Mustang King 98% of the time, but still. It’s $125,000. That’s an unheard of amount of of money. Just the paint could cost you nearly $7,000. But if that’s your thing, do it, and post some pics!
