Video Highlights Ford Mustang Hot Wheels

The pony car has been a part of the Hot Wheels lineup since the very first series was produced in 1968 with tens of millions of toys produced since then, making the diminutive rides the best selling Mustangs of all time, according to Ford officials.

However, most probably never knew what goes into pulling off one of those little car pieces.

To get a better sense of what it takes to create a two-inch long Hot Wheels Mustang that accurately depicts the iconic car, Ford has put together a video clip with chief designer for Hot Wheels, Felix Holst.

In the three minute plus video clip, that’s part of Ford’s Mustang countdown video series,  Holst explains how the process for building the models is a lot more complicated than piecing together some miniature toy.
