How Does the U.S. Mustang Differ From the European Variants?
Did you know that all Euro-delivered Mustangs are delivered with the Performance Pack as standard? Or that the hood vents we get on Stateside Mustangs are deleted on Euro ‘Stangs for pedestrian safety reasons? How about that left-hand-drive Mustangs have more horsepower than those delivered to our U.K. pony fans? These are just a few differences you’ll learn when you check out the video below from Car Throttle.
One thing that I didn’t know before this video was that the European-delivered cars feature amber turn signals at the rear, and that the tail light assemblies are clear instead of the red plastic versions we get. On certain color cars, like black or silver for example, the European rear lights look a bit more fetching. That might be something worthwhile to look into swapping out on your own Ford.
It’s also interesting to note that the European buyers don’t get the V6 engine, though it’s really the worst option out there for Mustang buyers, so I don’t see many of them being too upset about that.
