Twin Turbo Mustang “Fugitive” Goes No-Prep Racing

If you recognize this ride, the Fugitive, it’s likely because you’ve seen it at King of the Streets events. In the video below, we see the Fugitive putting up some big hurt to fellow competitors at the Doomsday No Prep races. This twin turbo Mustang showed up ready to fight with big block Chevy power.

With racing being an unpredictable beast, not everything goes as planned. During one of the evening runs against a Nissan, the Mustang didn’t hook in the left lane, then hooked too much, crossed the center line, nearly went completely into the right lane, and then swung back left again. Wall, meet car.

Luckily the damage wasn’t too severe, but their crew had to burn some midnight oil to get it back to race-ready mode for the next morning. Repairs proved to be successful, as it qualified for the finals, but that didn’t happen for the Fugitive. Sadly, starting issues crept up that prevented it from taking part. I can imagine a few choice words being said, and perhaps a wrench or two was thrown.

Hey, there’s always next time!
