This 1965 Ford Mustang for Sale is Absolutely Stunning
When people think of muscle cars, they inevitably think of the most iconic of all muscle cars: the Ford Mustang. It’s really the grandfather of all modern muscle cars. No matter how many times GTO owners say their cars are the genesis, the Mustang will always take the top spot in the minds of the people.
In 1964, Ford had the most successful launch ever in its history when it introduced the Mustang. Sure, there were a few 1964 ½s, but in 1965 the Mustang solidified its status as a cultural icon — an icon that continues to this day. For right now, though, let’s stick to the past and pay homage to this wonderfully restored 1965 Mustang GT.
Finished off in Raven Black and red GT stripes, this is perhaps one of the best-restored 1965 Mustangs I’ve ever laid eyes upon. This all-original pony car makes use of a 289 V8 backed up by a factory four-speed transmission, and every single aspect of this car was thoroughly worked over to bring out the ultimate iteration of this year. It just goes to show how good the staying power of this car’s design actually is.
While I’m not sure about the price of this car — a whopping $69,900 — there is no denying it would be a great ride to cruise around in, and possibly tear up some streets. What do you think? Is it worth that much money, especially now with muscle car prices falling like crazy?
Here’s the link for the full description of the car and a few more pictures.
