Super Snake Widebody Is Something Majestic

Widebody render of 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake on Instagram

Artist creates breathtaking 3D render of a wide and low Shelby Super snake, and we truly think it’s something that needs to happen for real.

Some would argue that the Shelby Super Snake is perfect as delivered. However, everyone knows that no matter how well done something is, somebody else is going to tinker with it. At least, in that car world, that is. However, while you might think most would go straight to adding more power (as if 800 horsepower isn’t enough0, some people look at things a bit differently. They want something more aesthetic.

3d artist Hugo Silva posted this insane render of a widebody Shelby Super Snake on his Instagram account, and it’s causing quite a stir.  For good reason, we might add. This thing looks phenomenal.

From tip to tail, this thing looks devastatingly mean. The front end sees a bit of tweaking from stock, including a set of RTR grille lights and an extended front splitter. The rear sees a small departure from the stock assembly in that it has large custom shaped exhaust tips rather than the stock oval tips. However, we wouldn’t fault you for not noticing, as the wing mounted to the rear draws our attention away from pretty much everything else.

The most prominent feature, of course, is the huge molded fender flares and side skirts. This design is remarkable because it changes so much, yet isn’t super intrusive on the original lines of the car. Everything looks neat and proportionate, just very wide.

The wheels look pretty nuts, too. They are a classic five-spoke design, but as wide as the day is long. Of course, you can’t be running widebody with wide wheels and not adhere to that oh-so-delicious lip-to-fender wheel fitment. Surprisingly, this render gets the wheel fitment on point without putting the car undrivable due to its ride height. This looks like it could be a feasible project for a real Shelby owner. One with a lot of extra money lying around, we might add.

Overall, the prospect of drastic visual mods to the Super Snake may be sacrilege to some. We think it’s awesome as long as things are done tastefully. What do you think of this widebody monster?
