Strangers restore War Vet’s Mustang
There’s nothing more moving than a war veteran reconnecting with his Mustang in a special way — especially when it’s due to the efforts of complete strangers.
That’s exactly what happened to retired SSgt. Kelly Foster, an Iraq War Veteran, who was getting his ’65 Mustang fixed at a garage in Illinois, piece by piece.
When Margaret and Timor Martin, who were also having their classic car repaired, heard about Foster’s story, they pulled together a group of friends and paid to get the vet’s Mustang fully restored.
Foster knew nothing about the project until he showed up thinking he was just checking on the car, which makes this story even more special.
