Small-Tire Twin-Turbo Mustang Takes on Chevy’s Finest
Small-tire racers should never be underestimated. Take this twin-turbo Coyote, for example. In the video below, this mighty 5.0 goes up against a nitrous tri-five Chevy Bel Air and a procharged Corvette from RPM. Though the heads up racing happens in the later part of the vid, the ‘Stang still dominates on the strip. The best part about small-tire racers is that you can have a variety of engine configurations, from boost, to N/A, to nitrous — and all races tend to stay fairly even.
That’s evident in this video. When the ‘Stang lines up with the Bel Air, he’s given a back tire and the leave. This results in a handy win, which is repeated once more. Since they are racing for cash, today is a good day to have that Mustang.
Next up are some fun runs with a C6 Corvette built by RPM. RPM is no stranger to speed, but that’s no match for this Coyote. First run is done with the Ford having the leave, and that generates a well-fought win. So then comes the heads up race.
Stage, yellow, GO! If you already guessed that the Mustang takes this one home, you guessed correctly.
