Mustang Shelby GT350 Battles Lamborghini in Exhaust Note Duel

High-revving exhaust-off proves Mustang is still one amazing-sounding car.

You probably won’t find a whole lot of Lamborghini fans here at The Mustang Source. Well, at least you shouldn’t, unless it’s one of those trolls, wishing that they hadn’t blown all that money on an import that doesn’t even come close to a Mustang.

Still, we figured this video clip — of a Lamborghini Centenario battling a Shelby GT350 in a duel of exhaust notes at the CF Charities Supercar Weekend — might pique the interest of some Lambo fans. After all, it’s not every day that we get a chance to see a $63,000 modified Mustang give a $1.9 million Lambo a run for its money.

Then again, this is far from your typical Shelby GT350. Apparently, this modified Mustang packs an earth-rattling 700-horsepower, which makes it a more serious contender against the 770-horsepower Centenario.

In all sincerity, deciding the winner of this battle of exhaust notes might vary depending on who you ask.

Of course, for us, there’s nothing more pleasing to the ears than a high-performance Mustang revving its engine, especially when it comes courtesy of a modified 700-horsepower Shelby GT350.

It’s also another reminder that while you’re certainly free to go out and spend nearly $2 million for a sports car, it’s really a waste of cash when you can buy a Mustang that has just as much appeal and costs a fraction of the cost.
