Shelby American Announces 50th Anniversary Celebration Plans
The iconic nameplate, which has given birth to some of the most memorable Ford Mustangs over the years, will hold a private gala at its new Las Vegas Shelby American facility and Shelby Heritage Center as part of the 50th Anniversary Mustang celebrations.
The event, being held April 18, will give attendees an up close and personal look at some of the cars that have made the Shelby name so iconic such as the first Cobra CSX2000 and prototypes of the Shelby Series 1, Shelby GT-H, Terlingua and the Mustang GT500KR.
The festivities for the Mustang 50th Anniversary, which will kick off with a huge caravan of Ford pony cars on April 13, will also include a Mustang 50th Half Marathon and 5K hosted by Vision Event Management at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a banquet and awards ceremony with Ford executives.
The Mustang festivities in Charlotte, the other primary location for celebrations planned for the 50-year tribute, will also include a banquet.
