Roush App Lets You Tune Your Exhaust Sound
For the last few years, car manufacturers have been fitting sportscars and supercars with active exhausts. Essentially, these allow the driver to turn the exhausts up to eleven whenever they want to. Think Jaguar F-Type R.
The mode selectors on these cars allow you to either be quiet, or be waking up the dead. However, thanks to Roush, you’ve never had more control over the sound of your exhaust.
Using an app specifically designed to tune your exhaust noise, the Roush system allows the driver to go through three pre-set modes. And if those don’t suit you, the individual mode lets you play with where the exhaust should open, based on the rev of the engine. It essentially works like a racecar’s traction control, allowing you to dial in how much exhaust noise you want.
The three pre-set modes are Touring, Sport, and Track, with the latter being the loudest. But who really wants their 600+ horsepower Roush Mustang to ever be quiet? We wouldn’t, that’s for sure.
