Ringbrothers 1965 Ford Mustang 'Uncaged' Teaser

Ringbrothers is going back to its roots with a new 1965 Ford Mustang convertible build set to be revealed next week at SEMA.

Over the years, Ringbrothers has garnered a reputation for building some of the finest restomods on the planet, and a few of them have been based on the Ford Mustang, of course. In addition to making and selling all sorts of custom parts, it has churned out customs including “Patriarc,” a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 seen here, “Caged,” a 1964.5 Mustang convertible, “UNKL,” a 1969 Mach 1, as well as “Ballistic” and “Espionage” – both ’65s – to name just a few. Now, Ringbrothers is set to reveal its latest pony car build at the 2023 SEMA Show, the company has announced, and it’s yet another 1965 Ford Mustang.

Uncaged is a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible, to be more specific, which is a model that Ringbrothers is quite familiar with. This time around, the company hasn’t yet released too many details about its latest build, but we do know that it essentially follows the formula that has made this particular shop quite famous – and given it the reputation of one of the finest restomod makers on the planet.

Uncaged is what Ringbrothers has reimagined as what it thinks the original, first-generation Mustang should look like, at least if it was still produced today. That means smoothing out and streamlining the body, widening the whole thing by one inch on each side to give it more presence, the perfect stance, and an overall improved aesthetic.

Ringbrothers notes that it touched and modified every single body panel on their latest 1965 Ford Mustang build, ensuring that it matches the newly widened stance to perfection. As one might imagine, that look is complemented by modern components of all kinds, ranging from the interior amenities to the powertrain, chassis, and suspension components.

For now at least, that’s all we have to go by, but when it comes to Ringbrothers, we know that Uncaged is going to be one of the highlights of the 2023 SEMA Show, given its reputation. This new build is set to unveiled on October 31 at 1pm in the Gentex booth #10338, at which time we’ll get to see it in all of its glory, meaning that we won’t have to wait much longer, at least.
