Ringbrothers 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 ‘Patriarc’ Stuns at 2022 SEMA Show
Ringbrothers 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is yet another stunning restomod from a company that churns them out regularly.
For a number of years now, Ringbrothers has made a name for itself by churning out some of the most incredible custom vehicles on the planet, ones that pack so much detail you could spend hours lulling over them. For the 2022 SEMA Show, the world renowned shop has once again topped itself in that regard, however, as the new Ringbrothers 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 dubbed “Patriarc” has made its debut following a whopping 5,000 hours of build time.
“This year has been an amazing one for Ringbrothers with four vehicle debuts at the 2022 SEMA Show,” said company co-founder Mike Ring. “Patriarc is one of them and showcases our capabilities, levels of craftsmanship and engineering when reimagining what this iconic car could become. It is modern performance, capability, and comfort wrapped in a classic American exterior.”
That process began with the use of a Roadster Shop Fast Track Stage III chassis, which has been fitted with a heavily massaged body that’s been widened by two inches and features lowered rear quarters, along with a custom floor pan and transmission tunnel, 3D-printed parts such as the rear bumper and emblems, and a host of carbon fiber components. The totally independent suspension is also equipped with a set of Penske Racing Shocks RS Edition coilovers, while a Baer braking system with 14-inch rotors and six-piston calipers helps slow it all down.
Power for the Ringbrothers 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 also comes from a modern source – in this case, Ford Performance’s 5.2-liter Aluminator XS V8, which churns out 580 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to the rear wheels via a Bowler Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch, which turns HRE G-Code wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber. The interior of Patriarc is also a work of art, equipped with a custom roll cage, a Vintage Air HVAC system, Dakota Digital gauges, a custom carbon fiber steering wheel, and one-off door panels, seat backs, and armrests.
“The Mustang Mach 1 has always been an aggressive-looking car, and we wanted to add to this classic good looks with subtle but critical changes,” said fellow Ringbrothers co-founder Jim Ring. “Over 5,000 hours went into building Patriarc and perfecting the aesthetics. And, like all our builds, it has the performance to match its newfound aggression. Teaming with trusted partners BASF, Motul, Miller Welding, Painless Wiring, GFS, and others helps make it all possible.”
