A rare collection of some of the most historically significant Mustangs in the world is currently being displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Southern California.

The display is called “Mustangs Forever: 50 Years of A Legend” and is being held as part of the pony car’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Among the cars featured in the collection are a 1965 Mustang driven by Ronald Reagan when he ran for governor, a rare collection of classic Shelby models, and a 2009 commemorative Iacocca edition.

Galpin Ford, in conjunction with the Petersen museum, hosted a VIP event called “Mustang Madness” to kick off the exhibit, which opened May 3.

Galpin, which has been a major part of the Ford pony car’s history, also has several of its Mustangs on display at the museum.

The “Mustangs Forever” exhibit runs until October 18.
