A group of Mustang fans in Oregon are pushing to leave their own mark in the history books to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang.

As part of the 50th celebration, the group has set a goal to break two world records including the most Mustangs in a parade and the most Fords in a parade, according to a Salem news report.

The event, which organizers claim is the only one its kind, will be held in Woodburn, Oregon at the Woodburn Dragstrip on April 12.  According to the official Guinness World Records website, the largest Mustang parade to date was organized by Michael Bourassa in Canada on 7 June 2008 and consisted 620 cars, which also appears to be the largest parade of Ford cars ever held as well to date.
