New Gran Turismo Mustang Rally Car Will Make Your Heart Grow Three Sizes
Ford has had some of the most incredible rally machines throughout the years. The RS200 and the rally Escorts (Cosworth and MKII) will live on in legendary status forever. And today, you have the Focuses and the Fiestas, which are more than capable little beasts. But what if Ford added one more vehicle to the rally competition, say a Mustang?
As part of the official announcement of the upcoming Playstation 4-only release of Gran Turismo Sport, Kazunori Yamauchi and his wonderful team cooked up a Group B version of the pony car. And it looks magnificent in its widebodied, spotlight-horned, winged, scooped, white-wheeled outfit. Customers can unlock the car by pre-ordering the game for the typical price of $59.99.
As you can see in the trailer below, the new game will feature 27 different tracks, more than 140 cars (including a couple dozen of the GT-designed Vision supercars), 2-player split-screen mode, and “world’s first and only online championships certified by the FIA (Federation International Automobile).” Sounds like the best driving simulator is getting even better. GT Sport officially launches November 15.
And here’s the cover art, along with a few renderings of some of the other cars too:
