Naturally Aspirated 5.0 Coyote Ford Mustang Dips Into the 10s

Though she be but little, she is fierce! When Shakespeare uttered those words, he must have been foreshadowing the creation of this naturally-aspirated, Coyote-powered S-197 Mustang. Indeed, its motor only measures a mere 5.0 liters and it doesn’t benefit from such luxuries as nitrous or forced induction, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less capable.

We aren’t privy to the exact modifications under the hood, but the naked eye catches Weld RTS big and little drag wheels wrapped in race-ready rubber, lightweight seats and the venerable 6R80 automatic transmission. The result? A string of bottom-11-second runs before sneaking into the 10s with an impressive 10.98 @ 124-mph pass. You gotta love those Coyote motors.
