We all know that the new sixth-generation Mustang is one of the greatest cars on the road, and awards have been rolling in left and right to prove it. The latest accolade to be awarded to Ford’s new darling is MotorWeek’s Drivers’ Choice Best of the Year.

MotorWeek loved the new Mustang’s redesigned chassis, independent rear suspension setup, powerful engine choices, and stunning good looks. The Mustang also got high marks for its great new interior with the team calling it the best among the competitors, and one of the best in Ford’s current lineup.

While touting the engine choices, MotorWeek was quick to point out how the new turbo four is great for overseas markets, and they also made sure to mention how the 5.0 got a nice power bump to keep it competitive.

All I can keep thinking about is if the Mustang walked away with the award so easily this year, imagine how quickly voting will be over when the new GT350 arrives next year. They may as well just hand over the award now.
