Beating out the competition by a mile, Mustang earned its rank over 24 others based on the number of Instagram mentions.

Mustang and winning are practically interchangeable with each other. On the quarter-mile? You bet. Around the track? But of course. The hearts of millions around the world? Who could hate a pony as amazing as Ford’s own high-performance breed?

You can now clear more trophy space for the Mustang, because it’s a big hit on Instagram, too. According to Maxim, the fine stallion is not only tops on the app known for Coachella selfies and influencers convincing you that that the skin care product they’re selling will make you as fabulous as they are, but it is the No. 1 Instagrammed car ever.

British temporary insurance company Veygo tapped their fellow Brits at Motoring Research to look into the top 25 most Instagrammed cars on the social media app, based on the number of mentions each car received. Once that was sorted out, the duo dropped their list for all to gaze upon.

At the bottom of the list is the Volkswagen Golf, with just over 1.2 million mentions. The first American entry, the Chevrolet Silverado, comes in at No. 13 with 2.25 million hashtags. As for our beloved Mustang, though, nearly 12 million mentions were dropped on the all-American classic, around 4.5 million ahead of the runner-up, the Honda Civic.

All we can say is the Mustang probably has tons of likes, too. And should any Coachella Instagrammers would want to take a selfie or three with our favorite car, we wouldn’t stop ’em.
