American Muscle in Deutschland: Mustang Meet Up in Europe

By -

German car meet has a medley of seriously savage Mustangs, including a killer Boss 302.

When you move overseas, you might think that having a Mustang is probably unrealistic. YouTuber Jose from Autobahn DRVRS has dedicated his channel to showing Mustang life in Germany, where he is stationed for the military. Jose has his supercharged Mustang GT500 along for the journey. He attends car shows, fixes up his car, shows the car culture, and gets plenty of Pony car action.

In his latest video, Jose goes to a Mustang meet up at the Ramstein air base. We were pretty surprised and impressed with the variety and quality of Mustangs that came out.

Jose is clearly very active in the car culture in the area, and knows a lot of folks there. First up we get to see a beautiful Boss 302, owned by his pal Israel. This green menace is new to Israel, and as Jose says, it is pretty badass.

“I’ve always loved Bosses,” Jose says. “For what it is and for how rare they are, this is going to be a collectors car for sure.”

Next we move on to a 2008 Shelby, and Jose talks to the owner about the mods he has done, and those he wants to do. It was tuned by SRS Motorsports in North Carolina and runs 620 horsepower.

The owner fires it up and she purrs like a lion. Israel then gets in on the action and lets us hear the Boss’s exhaust note, decidedly lopey and perfectly rough. We love it, pure old school American muscle.

Jose checks out a Roush-charged Shelby, and a Cobra Jet owned by his friend Chris. He chats with the owner of a S197, and there’s a lot of interesting info about the cars. All of this is great to look at, but everyone is ready to play.

“We’ve got 3 supercharged Mustangs, a Cobra Jet, a Boss 302….” Jose says. Yep. It is a quality meet, but the drivers are getting restless. Time to ride.

But first we get to enjoy a pupper barking and chasing a RC Mustang. We understand, pup. We sometimes do the same thing.

The video has a lot of great information and cool Mustang chat. We definitely recommend following Autobahn DRVRS (which stands for “Drag. Race. Velocity. Revs. Speed”) on YouTube. Cool videos with an interesting perspective on car culture overseas.
