Mustang Boss 302 vs. Camaro Z/28?
Well, at least it does at first, but apparently the showdown favors Camaro fans a lot more than Mustang enthusiasts.
In a recent video posted on YouTube—sponsored by Chevrolet, of course—the new Camaro Z/28 beats the Mustang Boss 302 in everything from cornering to entry speed on GM’s Milford Proving Grounds. With the Z/28 packing 60 more horses than the Boss 302, why not match the Chevy up against a Mustang GT500?
“Frankly we’ve tested everything they have and the Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca is their fastest track car,” says Al Oppenheiser, Chevrolet Camaro’s chief engineer, on the video.
In fact, Oppenheiser goes on to suggest that nothing Ford has in it’s stable really holds up to the Z/28. He says the car is more in-line with the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Nissan GT-R.
Hmm… Check out the clip or rather Chevy ad below and let us know if you’re buying it.
