Motor Trend pits 2015 Mustang GT against 2015 Camaro SS

Of all of this year’s new-car showdowns, this is probably the one people have been waiting for most – the 2015 Ford Mustang GT vs. the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Yup, the duel of all duels — the classic American-muscle-car battle — Ford vs. GM with the team at Motor Trend behind the wheel.

Even if you aren’t a fan of either car, this one is pretty epic given the fact that the new Mustang GT and Camaro SS have so much in common.

For example, both of the V8s come in at around 430 horsepower, give or take four or five horses, with the Camaro edging the Mustang by 20 lb-ft of torque.

The Mustang comes in 72 pounds lighter than the Camaro, and while the base price of the SS comes in at around five grand higher than the base Mustang, with the models tested, the Mustang comes in at about 5K more. I’ll spare you the rest of my analysis so you can get to the clip.
