Tuning: MotoIQ Performs Serious Suspension Work on 2014 Mustang GT
Do you know what happens when you mix car handling geeks, a 2014 Mustang 5.0, and suspension parts from KW and Whiteline? You get the makings of an even better handling S197! Check out what MotoIQ did with a 2014 Mustang 5.0 and the start of their second Mustang project.
If you’re unfamiliar with Mike Kojima, I probably couldn’t blame you much if you never ventured into the world of Sport Compact Car magazine or even went to a Formula Drift event. So, those of you unfamiliar Mike Kojima is the genius that helped Dai Yoshihara win the 2011 Formula Drift Championship, have set up cars from NISMO and TRD, and he is the number one guy many call upon for suspension tuning. Especially if they run KWs since that is the company Mike works for.
So to say that the Mustang is in capable hands would be the understatement of the year. He and MotoIQ took the car to Willow Springs for testing first and find the short comings. With the idea of making it a track day machine, it’s not a bad place to start.
The first items on the list are a slew of parts from Whiteline, including the awesome Watt’s Link conversion. Check out more at MotoIQ.com!
