If you think pulling off a perfect burnout in a Mustang takes a bit of skill, just wait until you watch the stunts Formula Drifter Matt Powers performs in the video below.

In what seems like a scene plucked straight out of a next-gen video game, the driver puts on one hell of a show about the fine art of drifting in a specially designed virtual reality helmet. He’s not just drifting, he’s doing so while battling everything from falling debris to rocks shooting out of the ground.

And just to to add to the video’s excitement, drifter Ken Block pops into the virtual world to pull off a few stunts in his Ford Fiesta.

But it’s the other obstacles Powers faces in the CastrolUSA virtual drift video that keeps you mesmerized. About the only thing missing is one of those pre-movie promo spots for popcorn and beverages.
