Matt Farah Takes HPE750 Out for a Spin
Lately, Matt Farah, from The Smoking Tire and /Drive, has been all about the Mustang life. Between the Mustangs he’s been driving for the shows he hosts, and his own Fox Body, Farah doesn’t seem to have driven hardly anything but Mustangs for the past few months.
And thanks to a lovely fan at this year’s Grid Life event — a car festival in tune with the Horizon Festival from Forza — that streak of Mustangs is definitely peaking in this Hennessey tuned machine. In the video below, Matt hits the track with Hennessey’s new HPE750 Mustang, and as you’re about to see, the 700+ horsepower is a bit of a handful on the track.
One issue Matt sees with this car is that it’s a stock automatic transmission. Sure, the auto is an okay trans, but with an HPE750 Mustang sporting the track pack and the Recaros, why not get the manual? It’s a far greater transmission and offers you way more feel for the car.
But the noise from this Mustang certainly makes up for it.
