Jay Leno Shakes Down Ringbrothers’ Espionage Mustang

What do you get when you combine a 989-horsepower supercharged LS7 with a completely carbon body? You get the Ringbrothers’ new custom hot-rod, dubbed “Espionage.”

Built for a Russian stuntman and this year’s SEMA show, Espionage is the baddest 1965 Ford Mustang on the planet. However, we hesitate to call it a Mustang anymore, since honestly, there really aren’t any Mustang parts on the car.

The shell and chassis of Espionage are all hand-laid carbon fiber. The entire car, soaking wet, weighs just a hair more than your average Miata. However, it’s been widened and stretched slightly to cope with the Whipple supercharged LS7 under the hood.

To showcase the car before it went to SEMA, both the Ringbrothers and the car made a trip to Jay Leno’s Garage to see what the avid, denim-clad collector thought of their latest creation. Let’s just say this: as you can see in the video below, things get very loud and very smoky.
