The 5 Updates to Expect for the 2017 Mustang
Check out what's different with the 2017 Ford Mustang's design. Find comfort in a sweet conversion of new and old attributes famously attributed to the long-appreciated Mustang.
1. Turning signals have moved a bit.
Ford has decided to "signal" a 60's throwback feature for the new 2017 Mustangs. The turning signals will no longer be located in the hood vents of the vehicle. Current models place the turning signals outside the vents and alongside the headlights.
2. 2017 Shakes up the color scales.
The highly sought-after Grabber Blue returns with the release of the 2017 Ford Mustangs, along with a couple other tantalizing hues: Lightning Blue and Ruby Red Metallic.
Consequentially, 2017 Mustangs will not be produced in Competition Orange, Kona Blue, Guard Metallic, or Deep Impact Blue.
3. Prices saw a small increase.
Unfortunately, the prices on the new Mustangs did increase but not by any significant amount. The V-6 Mustangs saw an increase of around $800 overall, while the 4-cylinder models saw an increase of around $300. The V-8 engines in the new Mustang models will cost around $500 more than the prior year's vehicles.
4. New accent packages and wheel design.
Cosmetics was the most changed department of the newest Ford Mustang design. There are a few different accent packages available and an option for black wheels instead of chrome. Interior accents offer a red on black option.
5. No major mechanical changes.
There aren't any new mechanical changes to speak of with the 2017 Mustang models. Many of the major differences in the new year focus on aesthetic aspects of the beloved vehicle.
