Henrik Fisker’s name is well-known within the world of sports cars. He designed the BMW Z8, and both the Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage. He was also the head of the previously defunct and now resurrected Fisker Automotive, Inc., although he has nothing to do with that project anymore.

No, Henrik has since moved on, and has now developed something with a bit more horsepower and a lot more noise. Partnering with Galpin Auto Sports, the dealership that built the GTR1 supercar, Fisker created what they are calling the Rocket.

Essentially, what GAS and Fisker came up with was to build an ultimate Mustang. Using the new chassis, Fisker, according to Top Gear, re-shaped the entire body out of carbon fiber and upgraded many of the car’s components. I wasn’t a big fan of the new GT when I drove it earlier this year. Hopefully Fisker and Galpin Auto Sports have solved many of the problems I found.

We’ll have more on the car when we see it at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week.
