Brake question

Is there an aftermarket replacement router that doesn't get all rusty. I have the tis rims from the 2011 dub package, they look great (20") but the rusty router and caliper look like crap and are very noticeable on this type of rim. Would Brembos fit? I really don't want to blow the coin thou... Suggestions??

Brembos rust just the same.

Just drive it a lot and that will keep the rust worn off.

Part of the rust is from the pad material left behind by the semi-metallic pads. You could change to a ceramic pad and it wouldn't be as bad but it also won't stop as well.

I'm fairly certain you want new brake "rotors" - not routers. That said, your 20" wheels will fit over Brembos (based on the diameter), but you may need spacers depending on backspacing requirements. A cheaper path would be to just get stock sized slotted and/or cross drilled rotors (i.e. Power Slots) that are coated to not rust.

I used Hawk ceramic pads on my '07 GT and it stopped much better than stock (after they had little heat in them).

That coating is only for the non-friction surface of the rotor. I believe he is talking about the friction surface rusting and showing through the wheels.

Yep that sounds allot better... Stock sized power slots and caliper covers... Then again after the price of all that It might be worth it to just step up to the brembos...hmm

That's for the info guys
