unless you get lucky on C-list or Ebay this is the going rate without the tool you may need to match them to your car though your dealer should be able to do that for you if needed I think the tool runs about 40$ here are the sensors

 

Saw a set on ebay for about $120, don't have a link.

 

Can you just buy the stems without the sensors? If someone has a link to the stems I'd appreciate it.

 

I ordered a set from Midwest Wheel and Tire http://www.midwestwheelandtire.com/contact email Mike and he will hook you up. They sell them on ebay too which is how I initially found them. Not sure about the 10's but I was told on the 11 & 12's you don't need the tool.

Is there a possibility to use the OEM TPMS-sensors with aftermarket metal valve stems. I always get probs with the OEM rubber valve stems. They don´t like getting hot on the track . I had to take them all off, ´cause of "malfunction". Best day was staying in the pit-lane with two flat tires

Do someone have a link to some aftermarket stuff ?

The '10+ OEM valve stems are a lot thicker than the older ones so they should be good..

 

Thanks guys. I ended up buying a set with the monitors off of ebay so both sets of my wheels will have the monitors.

The car learns them itself. Might be funny to see two Mustangs parked inches apart with new sensors in them trying to sort it out.

Exactly, you only need the tool for '07-'09, the 2010 SJB is self learning.
You could change wheels as much as you want, as long as there are sensors in the wheels the car will recognize them
