Brembo wheels $3400 for the set?!

Have been looking to replace the aluminum nickel painted 19 inch wheels with the 19 x 9 inch Brembo wheels...

Thanks to some help on the forums, I have determined they will fit, but the dealer is quoting $3400 for the set... Yes, THIRTY FOUR HUNDRED, or $850 apiece....

Is that a reasonable number? Does anyone have a source for these rims that is a bit more in touch with the real world?

TIA

It's been a bargain, you can't replicate it for less period.

I checked pricing for just the tires at online sites like tirerack.com and discounttire.com and the factory Pirelli PZero's are $385 each. With mounting, balancing, and sales tax that would be nearly $1,800 and that's just for the tires. Ford Racing sells the black Brembo wheel on their site for $235 each, so there's another $1K+ after tax and such.

So glad I ordered the Brembo Package from the factory as it was much cheaper than doing it after the fact!

Talking

Wow, $ 3400 for wheels ! I would rather take the $ 3400 and round up some more money and buy a supercharger and put some cheap tires from Walmart on my used wheels.

Wow. $3400 would buy a lot better wheels than the Brembo package wheels.

I want to buy another set of these this summer, for my winter tires. Once my summer tires are worn out, I'll put winter tires on that set and have those left over.

Yeah I know. There was a thread here somewhere that questioned whether the BBP was worth the money. That's what I was referencing.

Holy smokes. I would think there are better & cheaper tires than the PZero's? $385/each sounds pretty steep. Been thinking about changing my wheel setup too. If the tires that fit on 19"s are going to cost that much, I guess I'll have to stick to 18"s and try to go as wide as possible.

Totally agree there.

I found some 18x9/10 2010 GT500 wheels that weren't too bad, trying to figure out what tires I want to go with now. You can get the wheels for around 600 shipped on a couple websites.

Read my mind. The 2010 GT500 wheels have been at the top of my wish list since I first saw them. Buyfordracing.com has the 18" cast set for 600 (the 19" forged set is still crazy expensive and hard to find). I might end up with the 18" GT500s wrapped with 275/40ZR18 Continental EC DWS's; I remember reading here on these forums that those tires are regarded well. Gets below 40 in winter here (but very few snow days) so I want all-seasons; I don't have the storage space to have a dedicated set of winter wheels. Yet, anyway.

Back to the OP, man... if the Brembo wheels & tires cost $3400, might as well go for a set of the SVT PP wheels! Have you considered any other wheel setups?
