Vehicle health report on premium cars

If you use the vehicle health report that is part of the SYNC system, Ford collects diagnostic data through this system from the cars PCM.

I can't say for sure but if you have a tune Ford may be able to see that in the collected data.

Found the info on the SYNC vehicle health report in the owners manual.

There is a disclaimer warning you of this in there.

Something to think about for premium Mustang owners...

No sync in the Boss! Do u think they would be able to tell from the computer? I had a chipped G8 and Pontiac never noticed when I brought it in for service. I also never had any warranty issues with it, so maybe they never had reason to check

They collect data such as, is the brake system functioning, oil change required, etc...not sure if they collect data that stats whether or not your car is tuned. They probably could but you have the option of whether or not you want the report ran.

I had my ebrake set and the report stated that my brake light was on and that there might be a problem, which there wasn't because the ebrake was simply set...It also said that it was time for an oil change but if you reset the system to 100% it will say that the oil is "good to go"...

And it keeps track of how high you have revved, but from what I've been told, only for the last 100 miles - not 100% on that 1. Something to keep in mind if your tune raises ur rev limiter

As I stated, I can't say for sure that they would or could get the data about whether there is a tune installed or not but it wouldn't surprise me.
