How do you people without the glass roof do it?

I can never drive with the shade closes because I feel so cramped. This isn't a diss, but why so few glass roof owner? Weight?

I've actually seen some postings that the glass roof is lighter.
When I had my c6 corvette, it was obviously a targa top. One thing that I really noticed about that was the amount the sun beat down on me when driving with it off. It gets hot and the sun is much closer here in Colorado. SO during the mid-summer months, I rarely if ever took the targa roof off. The only time I drove with the targa off was at night and during the spring and fall months.
This is the main reason I'd never own a glass roof Mustang as well.

I often wonder the same thing. But the glass roof is pretty expensive, and there were misconceptions about the weight.
I couldn't imagine not having it, and it will surely be on my next stang.

well to be honest i dont look up that much when driving. straight, left, right, behind mostly. but i guess with flying cars just around the corner i will probably need to look that way soon before crossing an intersection.
glass roof is really nice, but if it doesn't open, it's not worth it for me. My thinking was to put in an aftermarket fully-functional sunroof at some point, like some others have done.
Ford: shame on you for not offering an opening sunroof.

The heat/sun issue at altitude is a function of thinner atmosphere, not distance to the sun, which is near 93 million miles. Our 5280ft not gonna make that much difference.
But I share the OP's opinion, only close the shade when the sun is beating down and blinding me, otherwise it's claustrophobia (but the shade is lower than the headliner on the standard coupes).
When I really like mine is on those cold rainy drives to and from work. Makes it light and nice inside the cabin. But those sunny days are great too. As my friends son says it is like riding in an air force jet!
At least the 28lbs is in a place where it doesn't have much affect...
oh wait, it's in the worst possible place to add weight...second only to the wheels.
I dig it...but it wasn't in my budget and a pure luxury option didn't fit my vision for this car.
