A few V6 questions...
A few V6 questions...
I just purchased a Vista Blue 07 Mustang Premium Coupe with the Pony package.
A few questions -
What size is the rearend? I've heard both a 7.5 and 8.8. Would 3.73 gears be the most well-rounded for off-the-line performance/fuel economy? Ford Racing brand or Motive Gear?
Is there really a difference between auto and manual GT take-off mufflers? True duals or the Ninosport kit for better power?
Can my Bamachips SCT Gen 1 tuner that I bought for my 02 Ranger be reflashed to work with the Mustang?
Best CAI for it? JLT, etc?
Thanks for your help!

Congrats on the new ride dude, great choice. The rear end on the V6 is 7.5 it's the GT that has the 8.8, all though I know some people who have upgraded recently to the 8.8.
I've not done gears yet, but when I do 3.73's are what I intend to go with, that should give you a good grunt of the line but not raise your RPM's too much or lower you MPG's by much either. As for brand, I've heard motives whine more, but do NOT know this first hand.
You don't nececarily have to go duals to get the same power, there is only a couple of hp difference between duals and something like the MRT aeroturbine single axle back. Duals on our cars are mainly a sound and appearance gain.
I don't know on the gen 1 tuner, but I'm sure you could shoot Doug at bamachips an email and he can let you know.
As for the CAI, I've got the Tunable Inductions intake and love it, it's supposed to be one of the better ones along with the C&L I think it was.
Good luck and happy modding
