Got My T-Lok installed!
Got my FRPP t-lok in yesterday. Install went smoothly except that I had to replace the carrier bearings because the others wouldn't come out. I kept the stock gears because I do alot of highway driving. Overall I am very happy. Making right turns and having both tires hook is great and with my tires I can launch much higher than before and not spin or bog. This is how the car should have come from the factory! Now I just have to make it to the track and see what I can do in the 1/4.
Great work, I'm impressed you did it yourself. Did you take pics of how you did it? Are you getting any whine or noise? Can't wait to see your 1/4 mile times.

I was thinking of getting & installing a T-Lok myself.
I can change oil, brake pads, etc... but I hve never done any work on the rear diff.
How difficult is it to install a T-lok (not changing the gears)? Think I could do it myself and still have a driveable car
?Thanks...

If you dont know how and have never done it before, definately dont try it lol.
its about 5 hours of labor booktime. requires special tools and knowledge on setting pinion depth and so forth.

hmmm... i'm guessing they didn't give me a "formal" quote... When I was having my gears put in I asked them what if I waited on the T-Lok, how much it would cost to have it put in later... The guy said $100... so.... I bet he didn't look it up and just threw out a number...

My regular mechanic said it was a six hour job going by book time.
The installer I spoke with quoted me $300 to install the gears and t-lock.

300 is what I paid and most paid 250-325.
