I have been looking at getting a strut tower brace for my v6.

The only one I could find is the Steeda for $175.

Does anyone have this yet, and if so, did you notice a big differance?

Cool, how easy was the install?

I imagine all I would need to do is bolt it on using the same bolts as the front struts?

Take off the nuts and put on the brace. I forgot what the torque specs are. Make sure that you torque the nuts back down.

Ford Racing has one (contact Kevin) and BMR makes a nice one as well. Steeda also offers a billet brace but it is very pricey.

Yes, but unfortunately those do not fit the V6 models, unless I am mistaken

I'm sorry, I didn't see that this was a V6 thread. I am not sure about the fitment of these braces on the V6?

They say they fit the v6 model!

Last I heard the v6 was mounted a little higher in the engine bay which makes it a more difficult to use one.

Steeda does not have a picture for the v6 & v8 which makes me wonder if it is a typo or not.

I don't think it's a typo. There is a different part number and it costs more for the V6 brace.

I saw the Steeda one a while ago at www.stangsuspension.com , I wonder why it's like $20 bucks more than the one for the GT?

I was referring to the BMR and Ford Racing braces, not Steeda- do they say they will fit, I have not checked the websites recently?

Steeda does have a brace to fit the V6 - and it is more expensive than their V8 brace. Why Ford doesn't make these OEM on the car during production is beyond me.

Both Ford's and Steeda braces will not fit the V6 -(well the more expensive Steeda - the twin bar design). Not sure if their single bar will fit. The V6 intake is higher - thus not allowing for clearance once the hood is down. I've ordered the V6 brace from Dallas Mustang - www.dallasmustang.com and will let everyone know if if fits. FYI I put a Saleen brace on my 05 Focus and it made an immediaite difference. Why Ford doesn't make these OEM on the car during production is beyond me.
I hope it makes a big differance.

It seems like my vert doesn't handle quite as well as the coupe.

I ordered the same thing from Steeda. Last time I ordered parts from Dallas Mustang they had to ship them from the mfg. I figure if I cut out the middle-man I might get the parts a little sooner...

Can anyone confirm this one fits? In the description it sounds as though they are talking about the same bar for both applications- Just want to make sure since I know the intakes on both cars are different
