Okay, if any of you have read any of my posts, you know I am stuck inbetween a torch red 04 or 05. I noticed while test driving an 04 that it has a horrible blindspot to the sides. The visibilty is really limited in comparison to my 95' explorer. Does anyone know if the blindspot/visibilty will be any better in the 05s?

The guy who took the test drive said the mirrors were large. They look that way from the pics as well. I don't think you'll ever get rid of the blind spot though. Just make it smaller.

I wouldn't worry about it. Should be better than the 04's.

I am not sure about the blind spot. But I would choose the 05. Heck, I already did. Of course it is up to you.

B) If going fast enough there is no blind spot. It becomes a space you just passed.

Exactly, I never not know a car is there, unless in bumper to bumper. Best investment in the world is some 2" round wink mirrors that stick on, after a couple days you never use the flat glass and can even see your back tire when parallel parking.

I would guess that the blind spot would be about the same ..so if money is the issue the 04 will do nice with good incentives to buy right now ,but the 05 is a better car all around from the enginering point of view ...If money is no object ...Get the convertible and put the top down and enjoy with no blind spot!!! :drive:

The blind spot should actually be reduced in the 05 I WOULD GUESS because of the cool back quarter window (providing you don't put vents on it).
