Front bumper

My 2007 mustang pony was hit while it was parked. Front bumper and driver side front panel needed to be replaced. I bought a new front bumper and they sent the wrong one. Ordered a new one and it came in a tiny box folded. I was dumbfounded. It is not the same. It sags in places. Where my head lights are there are gaps. It’s not the same anymore any suggestions on the bumper replacement I’ve bought three and still not happy.

Welcome,

How About Some Pics of Car Originally in Front to See What You Had? Mustangs Do Get Bumper Covers Swapped Around From Model To Model. I Should Know I Practically Invented it on the 05-09's Then a Link To What You Are Buying. Also Pics of What is On Car at The Moment.

I Did Ford Parts For 30+ Years Should Not Be Too Hard To Figure Out.

Are you saying that bumpers don’t come in a box and you have to unfold them in the heat lol?
sorry about the delay of the pics. I can only find one pic before the damage. Be nice and please don’t judge on the mod of the pony front grill. I am a 55 years young and did my own replacement on bumper and driver side panel.

Hello,

Your Pics Are So Up Close it's Hard To Tell For Sure But Looks Like You May Have a Gt Front Bumper on a Base V6. First Thing The Grille Should Not Have Been Able to Plug in Properly at All. And No A Bumper Cover Should Not Come Folded Up! As I Said Pics are Too Close To Be Sure Need Some Perspective Like Example Shown. Anyhoo The Correct Factory Part Should Solve a Lot of Issues!

The Tell is Your Cover Should Have The License Plate Recess! If it Has it ,You Just Have a Real Bad Cover. If Not it is Wrong Cover!

More To Come!

This is What You Need For Proper Fit With Your Grille!

Both of These are Still Available From Ford. One is Standard Replacement One is Called Crash Part. Crash Part Means a Dealer Has To Buy a Bunch of Covers To Get a Better Price. I Know You Are in Arizona But Not How Close To Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale But They Have Either Cover in Stock! If You Want Correct Factory Cover This is a Good Option as Shipping These Huge Parts is Problematic as You Have Seen! You Could Also Call Your Local Dealer Although They May Only Be Able To Supply Higher Priced Regular Cover. Not Every Dealer gets Crash Parts.

Also Be Advised That All Brackets From Old Cover Should Have Been Transferred Over & Nothing Was Bent From Accident and All The Mounting Pieces are Present Such as Foam Between Cover & Metal Bumper Welded on Car!

I have removed the bumper cover from my 2010 and I cannot imagine that it would survive being folded up in a box, even if you unpacked it in a sauna LOL

No It Would Turn it to Junk !

I Had to Have FORD Drop Ship The Conversion Covers I Sold Because it was Stupid Expensive To Reship After Receiving From Ford. They Came in Padded Wrapped Foam Most of The Time And Had Maybe a Little Wrinkling Which Came Right Out in The Sun. But No Folding, That Would Destroy the Cover.

Thanks for the info the first bumper I got was a GT they sent the wrong one the other one they sent came scratched and a big nick or gouge on it was poorly rapped and the 3rd one came in a small box lol. I have a video some where unboxing it. Pricing isn’t so bad with info you attatched. I just want to get it back together the correct way.
and off the bumper subject….. the other thing I am fixing is AC. You know Arizona heat is deadly. Air is blowing at the bottom and the defrost vents. Already changed two air door actuators the hard to get ones. And still the same thing. Any suggestions?
