It's easier for Chevy to come up with high performance Camaros because they let the Corvette guys pay for all of the R&D.

HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
No, I don't like it. I think it's hideous. lol The Camaros are okay, but I don't think I'll ever own another one. I would get a Hellcat Challenger before the ZL1.

The folks at Toyota called, they want the grill from the Toyota Corolla back. That huge expanse of black plastic just doesn't do for me.

The problem with the Camaro can be summed up in one word 'Performance'. GM went out of their way to improve on performance--which really wasn't a problem with the Camaro to begin with. The 2015--particularly the Z/28 had terrific performance. Chevy made no effort to improve visibility. You can't fit a set of golf clubs in the trunk and there is no viable back seat. And, they took away consumer options, and jacked up the price. Last month Dodge sold over a thousand more Challengers than Chevy sold Camaros. And the GM solution is the ZL1 1LE--more performance and an even higher price tag.

Credit where credit is due--I am sure the ZL1 1LE will be an impressive performance car. But, it doesn't address any of the issues that keep the Camaro from being a success with the buying public. GM is capable of so much more. To me personally, the Buick Avista is what the new Camaro should have been. Present similar performance in a sleek modern interpretation of a sports coupe like the Avista and GM would have had a real winner.

Introducing a $62K model that is a 4/5 scale iteration of the last model Camaro--with a style that debuted in 2006, is hardly progressive thinking. Particularly when GM stylists are quite capable of producing something like the Avista.
