Right t after install, and right before a long 2 hour bug-ridden drive.
And then, after getting home - another 1.5 hours worth of cleaning of bug guts... the beauty of optically clear urethane film protecting chip-free paint. Ahhhhhh...
i got her home home safe and sound, with no chips. Woohoooo
Been a while since I posted in this thread. Sorry guys. I’ve really been out enjoying Wruby. She has about 900 miles on her now, and have been driving her with no top and no doors. Wow, what a feeling. Completely different and so enjoyable. Marilyn has been getting minimal love at the moment. Haha.
I also purchased some Kentrol off-road mirrors for her while the door is off. Not required here in Iowa but it sure helps with ensuring safe backing up and merging.
I haven’t thought much yet about mods. I’m taking it slow. So enjoyable stock.
What a vehicle though. Such a simple concept but oh so much fun. The whole family gets to enjoy it with me...
Awesome stuff Burton!
I am glad you are enjoying the family's new toy! Good deal man.
thanks Tony! I put the doors back on because I’m headed back to the Xpel place to fix a spot I didn’t like taking the day off Friday.
Anyways, with the doors back on, she is still a lot of fun. I drove her today to go to Dunkin Donuts to get breakfast for my team. For the record I got healthy options like veggie egg white wraps etc. hahahaha
You know, it's one thing to see a clean late-model Mustang parking like that.
It's quite another when a Jeep does it.
Get that thing dirty enough that nobody will want to touch it, even when it's parked properly, inside only one spot
lol thanks Tony. I wonder who helped talk me through this color... boy was I a lost soul For the record, I would have liked Mojito too!!! I saw one in person and it was awesome.

haha Gabe. For the record I am still only taking one spot. I only do that on end spots. That’s the only spots I take. I don’t take up someone else’s spot and I never get dinged. Win win.
I hear ya on driving Marilyn. She only has 250 miles this year so far
Hey there Burton, everything has been going well. I've been to 8 car cruise events since this past May so far and took my car in today to have the stock 3:55 ring and pinion gears put back in. The 4:10's are just too short a ratio for a 5-speed manual with a Saleen S/C which loses top end when on the highway at cruising speeds. So now that I'm back to 18" inch tires at the OEM 27" diameter, the time is right for the gear swap. In the meantime, put some miles on Marilyn, as old man winter will be returning before you know it lol.

LOL
Yeah,.....the red on the Jeep looks great.
And I do the same, I park at end spots only. Even if I have to walk to where I have to go. lol
Depending on busy the place is and how far away I am, I'll take up 2 ends spots as well. Only on the daily driver though. The Roush doesn't see parking lots unless it's to take photos. lol
