Thanks for clarifying and your absolutely spot on that what's most important is our fellow Stanger was able to get everything fixed with his car and back on the road once again

That's Ford for you lol. Therefore unless there's a known problem, they won't offer any other info concerning specification requirements.. You either have to purchase or know someone who has a Ford service/repair manual..

In the meantime, if you missed the 5.0 service manual specs I posted earlier in this thread, here it is again.. They require 124 lbs inch torque which converts to 10ft lbs torque..

That's what I'm saying, it's not mentioned in the Ford service manual.

Kyle ! What I submitted was a section taken from the Ford service manual.. Unless I'm misinterpreting, I think your referring to the Ford owners manual which doesn't list technical specifications.. If you take a look again at the section posted from the Ford service manual.. It lists the torque specs at 124 inch lbs torque which then converts to 10ft lbs torque..

Nope, I'm referring to the same manual you are and talking about a recommendation about anti-seize usage, not about torque...

My bad, I misunderstood lol. Anyway I don't know why the service manuals don't include recommending anti-seize either.. As I mentioned in a previous post, Ford only recommended it in the TSB manuals for the 2005-08 4.6 3v models..

My guess is that once Ford redesigned the heads and spark plugs in late 2008, they considered the spark plug issues as resolved and therefore anti-seize was no longer considered a recommendation requirement

Glad you got it taken care of op. One handy tool to have really cheap is an ehome endoscope and I bought mine from Amazon for 12 bucks. Heres a pic and its small enough to fit into a spark plug hole.

Magnetic porcelain?

In the meantime, I thank you for correcting my mistake and realizing that using a magnet tool is totally useless for picking up porcelain debris..

Hopefully he'll be able to get those pieces out by attaching a vacuum line hose to a vacuum tube nozzle
Unless it's that new magnetic porcelain from China that been making the rounds lately....
