Hi everyone.... I have a 2012 Mustang with the "dumby" buttons for phone and satellite. If you push on the buttons, they do nothing. I know I have to get the modules to make these work. Has anyone installed these modules? I have contacted Ford and of course the one module is over $500. I am looking for something aftermarket to get these two buttons active. Any suggestions on what brands that work better. Thanks

Here is the kit you need to use to make your satellite Radio work. I thought about buying it for my base model 14 GT but just haven't wanted to let go of the money.

I'm pretty sure that this is a factory Ford kit.

Thanks. Ouch!!!
I was told there is just a module you can plug in behind the dash. Any idea if this is true?

I'm interested in this too, a simple plug and play module would be great.

From my research that is not true. The module is not there or they would already have it plugged in. You also would have to have the antenna which is not there so it's more than just a module that is required.

In the description of the product I provided a link to, it tells you what four things make up the kit. The receiver/tuner, antenna, harnesses and interface module. The kit is also manufactured by Ford.

There is an aftermarket company that make a kit that does the same thing but I can't think of the brand off hand.

You could always try picking through junkyards and see if you can scavenge the modules
