They have regions all over the country. There are two that have events relatively close to us. NASA-Southeast has been around for 10 years or so. They race at Road Atlanta and several places around the southeast. A new region, NASA-Midsouth, is centered in Memphis. I've worked with both organizations, and they are great people. They have driving schools (High Performance Driving Experience HPDE) and several forms of competitive racing once you get through the schools. You can volunteer at the track and earn credits towards attending the weekend schools. I highly recommend that approach. I worked corners, grid, starter, race control, etc and was able to work my way through the HPDE that way. Check out the website and let me know if you have any questions.
