Hey there....I Just moved to Mission Viejo from Hawaii on May 1st and I'm interested in hooking up with some local clubs and events. Been perusing the so cal stang froums but havent found a home yet. Very interested in a club that is active and likes to get out.

Hey Torrance....how do you like those 3:90 gears? Would you do it again? Would you go 4:10? What happened to your milage....? Thats getting to be an important factor these days.....

 

I am absolutely in LOVE with the 3.90 gear ratio, however I have gear whine at about 60mph and it's louder than my exhaust..... SO it's going back to the shop to get fixed or I am installing Frpp 4.10's.

I had 4.10's in my 05 which was not supercharged and it was a blast to drive... 4.10's with this beast I have now might be a bit much, but you never know. I can't really gauge the gas mileage since I have a heavy foot and a WHIPPLE, so I am almost always on E and going 100mph +....

Yeah...I have that same condition....but no blower. This is my daily driver and I need to use the Fwy systems....back in the day I had a big block with a cross ram and 5:13's.....that car passed everything on the road but a gas station. Wasn't much fun on the freeway either. Of course gas was only 40 cents a gallon....

 

They are the FR500 Factory Racing Stripes. I had a paint shop come out with a fancy color analyzing machine and mix up paint for the scoop and spoiler.

I chose the GT500 spoiler because it was different.....now what fun would it be if everybody got one...?

FYI I have 4.10s and a Saleen blower (numbers below in my sig) and on the interstate I can still pull about 22 mpg. Pretty decent considering at the drag strip, running drag radial tires, I can get the driver's side front tire off the ground about 1/2" upon launching.

 

22mpg at what speed...?

 

75-80 mph.
