reprogramming odometer
I have gotten a different gauge cluster for my car, the odometer needs to be updated to reflect the actual mileage of the car. Can it be adjusted with Forscan ?

It's entirely possible, and definitely doable at a dealership. Your issue is verification of the old cluster's mileage so they can reprogram the new one. Other shops will have this or similar tools. It's called 'mileage correction tool'. Some scan tools can do it, others can't. It's even doable with a computer with an old school DB-9 serial port, some diodes, and soldering skills and +5v out of the PC's power supply.
Note: ANY tampering with the odometer is a legality I'm not qualified to discuss, but be assured, there's laws about it. Mainly, don't lie/abuse your power to mis-represent what the mileage of the vehicle is. I'd suggest dealership because completely legal... mostly...
Happy motorin! Or... happy correcting, anyway.

None of the Dealers I Worked at Would Touch Odometer Tampering. But There is Always an Exception!
