Dark Horse, 0-150-0 Car and Driver test + more
I just watched a Coffee Talk video when Dennis bought one from a small dealer in Ohio (search Coffee Walk Dark Horse on YouTube). Ford made fewer Dark Horse cars than Ford dealers so they are hard to find. Plus most were automatics and this one was a black 6-speed with Recardo seats. He flew up from Texas to buy it.

I get Car and Driver in paper by mail. You can find the entire article on the interweb so no links for the second time in one thread.
Car and Driver rated it well. It has only 500 Hp, and the winners had more HP. It still finished 6th in a field of expensive cars. C&D said the standard 6-piston Brembo brakes were awesome. It's 0 Mph to 150 mpg and back to 0 Mph.in the lowest time.
----
I am not a newby Ford Mustang buyer. I promise the ~2025-2026 Mustang will be faster for less money.

Here's a great video for those that are interested in a 2024 Mustang. ( I think they are all ugly, unless you're talking about the DarkHorse Premium. Just my opinion.)
It's gonna be a hard pass for me dawggg. LOL

I'll say that my (S550) 2019 Mustang Shelby GT350 Flat Plan Crank is the best Mustang that I have bought.. Here:
It's big rime fast with a much lower price:
I'll be keeping it. I would never buy a smaller engine car.
I say a new (650) 2025-2026 Mustang (Boss, Mach 1, or Shellby) would get my money as long as the performance will be better as Ford has always done this, so I say they will do it again.
Just wait a year or so.

Outside of the NAV screens in all new cars, I would love to buy a new Mustang GT convertible. I really enjoy my '14 GT 'vert but financially a new one will never happen. My R/T is most likely the last 'new' car I will ever buy. Just 3 years ago, when rebates and dealer discounts were available, I paid $42k for it with every option I wanted.

I say the pricing will improve on the Dark Horse as the "immediate.buyers" get one or go to another car.
For example, my S550 2019 GT350 was really expensive in 2015-2018. I finally got mine ordered in Jan, 2019 to be delivered (at a discount) in 3 months. It took 6 months. They stopped production in 2020.
I am saying that it pays to wait.

Yup. It took a year to get mine, but the sticker went up about 4k (maybe more, have to look) between the time I made the deal and it came. On the same car. Luckily they honored the original deal we made.

Having just bought an s550 mach 1, I am biased but i personally do not like the lines of the newest s650. It will take me a few years to adjust to the new look, which lacks personality to me. For just a few less horses I'm glad I bought the last gen s550.

Same here, and I haven't even noticed the few less horses.

I understand everyone here, but I'll add that the government is making ICE (internal combustion engines) cars illegal. Or so they say and Ford has said this may be the last ICE Mustang.
I think Ford will make a new GT350/Mach 1 in 2025/2026. I'd buy one for a possible last ICE car. This stuff can change so I'm not making a deposit anytime soon...
On paper and on the drawing board, the new (not named) Mustang will do the 0-150-0 much faster than today.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'm posting this here,.............
The DarkHorse Premium car, I wouldn't look at the others. Actually, I think the '24 GT looks ugly. The DarkHorse Premium looks pretty good, in my opinion, especially with these powder coated brake calipers and aftermarket wheels. Very nice!!!
