Ok I'll bite. Why do we not deserve doggies?
I figure if a person loves a dog or dogs as a great companion then they are ok to have a dog as a friend.
I have two great dogs and two great cats. They are awesome.

What a cutie. My aunt loved Schnauzers, she always had one when I was a kid. I loved those dogs (heck, I love all dogs). Actually they lived so long that she only had 2 as I was growing up, then she got a couple of Yorkies. They were so sweet, but then she got breast cancer, went into remission, then it came back and spread until it took her away. Stupid fcking cancer.

 

That's awesome. Schnauzers are awesome dogs. This is my third one. She's definitely the cutest, but the freshest. Not the meanest, but freshest. (My meanest was a German Shepherd named Tammy. That dog would rip someone apart. Tammy was one of 3 German Shepherds that I had growing up. My favorite breed.)
And yes,.....cancer does suck!!! A friend from high school just passed from aggressive cancer. Only 46 years old. One year older than I. Makes you really think. R.I.P.

 

I've only ever been bitten by one breed of dog and they were Schnauzers!!! I hate them little biting bastards!

 

I've never been bit by a dog. Other than a nip or something from yappy small dogs playing around.

 

I was a little kid when I got bit but I still don't like them.

 

My cousin got bit pretty bad by one of my uncle's black and tan coon hounds when we were really little. In the shoulder and face IIRC. That's the only time I recall any of us getting bit by a dog growing up.

 

Schnauzers aren't too friendly with little children.
I've seen it first hand at the vet's last year with Bella when she was younger. Kids were running around, I was holding her in my lap and she was growing a lot.

 

Awesome! I've heard that rescue dogs make the best pets.
