The TMS Dog Thread!
Well I'd always see a few here and there circling high over the years but not until 2003 did a pair build a nest above the barn. When it came time for the young one's to fly away, one had issues and would cry and cry and the parents would circle back in. Finally they must have booted him out of the nest and he came fluttering down in the pasture I was standing in trimming a stallion's hooves! The adults swooped in and goosed him back up somehow.
So ever since and every spring & through summer & fall I hear a hawk screech to scare the mice and chipmunks and what few rabbits there are in the woods out into a clearing. I'll say 'hawkie's back!'.
One morning I happened to open the curtain and there he was! In the winter even. He stayed just long enough for me to sneak a pic.
So yeah - I claim him as my 'pet' redtail.

Haha 3 cats a piece. They go through about a 50 pound bag every 2 weeks but the wife cooks veggies to add to they're kibble. Awesome looking boxer there. Wife really wants a boxer but I don't think I have the energy for one as I get older I'm starting to become more layed back ( wife uses the term lazy ).
