The TMS Dog Thread!
Since there's a few of us around who seem to have pics of our faithful friends, I thought I'd start a thread to show em off.
This is Roxy, she's never seen the inside of my S197 yet, since daddy hasn't bought one of those special "claws don't damage the upholstry" seat covers yet. But she's there all the time I'm playing with it. She's a pit/beagle mix, and has been almost 100% low maintenance her whole life. Can't say enough about bull breed and bull mix dogs. She's so easy to be around. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...01-05_1436.jpg http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...roggydoggy.jpg |
cute dog!
I love dogs, but I've never had one. As soon as I move out, I know I will. This thread will be fun to watch |

Kind of a crappy picture, but Lacy is a lab/husky mix with one blue and one brown eye. Super sweet dog. Even at 14 years old, she still has some playfulness left. :nice:
|
Is it just me, or do the mutts seem to live longer? Yours looks like a sweetie, even got the tug rope in the background :nice: I can't have those with mine, she tends to want to shred things when she gets bored. I.E. her version of playing with a tennis ball is to rip the fuzzy stuff off the outside, instead of doing anything "ball" related. lol Although it is funny watching her with a racquetball, she sits there and squeezes it like it was a stress ball.

Here's the three dogs in my family. Cindy is a yellow lab, Carmel is a Beagle, and Ginger is an Australian Shepherd. And we'll be getting a black lab puppy in a couple weeks. I'm actually more of a cat person, but oh well.

Here are pics of my little guy. He is a mix. Pomeranian, Poodle, Shih Tzu, Maltese. Last pic is of him first meeting my parents new puppy which is a pure Shih Tzu.

Here are pics of my previous dog. Purebread German Shepherd. She lived to be 9 years old. Unfortunately within a 2 day period she became so ill that she had to be put down :( I really miss this dog. Even though she was huge (115 lbs) she was very gentle with kids.

Looks like I'll be first to post a dog IN an S197 -

Introducing General Patton XXIII
Great Dane - Black - Male (Parents are Blue and Blue Merele) As a puppy: (Age Unknown) http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics...tton/puppy.jpg 3 Months and 1 Week of age: http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics...tton/3m1w1.JPG http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics...tton/3m1w2.JPG 3 Months and 3 Weeks of age: http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics...tton/3m3w1.JPG http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics...tton/3m3w2.JPG 5 Months of age: http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics/ss/patton/5m1.JPG Where he gets his name from: http://www.senderosnake.com/graphics/ss/patton/5m2.JPG ...we feed him steroids. He has the hankering for pearl handled pistols and swears like a salior! :jester: I need to upload some more pictures of him because he's more than a year old now. (160ish pounds and more than 6' tall when he stands up.) |
Dane's are awesome dogs, and he's georgous.
|
i love this thread already
|
yeah great thread! Very gorgeous dogs! I had a rotweiler/doberman blended male that was with me for about 15 years. Sadly arthritis attacked him and had to put him down:shame: Blackie, I really miss him. Currently there are 2 dogs living with me, a dalmatian male, Goldie, and a chihuawa called Rocky! I'll download pictures later on.
|
Wow, those are some great pictures! Sorry you lost your Shepard Adrenalin, but you've got some great shots of your current little guy. When I look at the one on the left, it just looks like the wheels are turning behind his eyes. I normally like bigger dogs, but I had a Shih Tzu once, Beauregard or just Bo, and he was one of the three best dogs I've ever known.
Sandero, your dog is beautiful. My dogs play with a Harlequin at our dog park all the time. My coworker has a fawn, she has her own twin bed to sleep on! lol Does he ever ride in the car? I haven't been brave enough to do what John did and put stuff everywhere to protect the inside of the car. Fun fact: General Patton's favorite dogs were Bull Terriers. Remember Spuds McKenzie? lol |

Wait until he finishes growing. My in-laws had a brown Dane. One day he got loose and a neighbor called the police saying there was a horse loose in the neighborhood.
|
That's a hilarious list. I laughed a lot at taking photos of a 5yr old sitting under your dog, and referring to other dogs as "treats on feet."
|
Missy sure looks cute!

Does Sam's left eye have some blue in it too? It looks like it may from the picture. My dog (part Aussie) has the same. People comment all the time how wild it looks. I don't see too many other dogs with the same trait.

she is cute as a button!

Here is Rusty. He's my cairn terrier.
|
Chock up one more for the dogs in the car club! lol He's a cutie, I've heard cairns are feisty, true?
|
Yeah, he's a feisty one. They're fun dogs. He's just like Toto but the redish color.
|
I always thought Benji was a Cairn Terrier. They kept calling him "the wonder mutt" but I've always understood the irony was that he was pure bred.
Like your console btw! I've been trying to decide whether to bring any of the Vista Blue into the car or not, so far I've decided against it. But yours looks good, especially with the billet. |
heres my mutt
hes a lab mix and his name is austin.... we got him at the humane society. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...SV101827-1.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...3/SV101811.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...3/SV101809.jpg |
no dog is more loyal than the mutt...
|
yea he is a really good dog
|
he cant stand being couped up, so if we leave him in the yard all day, he will jump the fence and lay on the front porch and wait for us to come home....
he does it every single time |

My daughter just got a golden puppy afew weeks ago. Here are afew pictures of her growing up. Bella (the dog) is now 18 weeks.
|
haha thats one cute puppy
|
Absolutely it is :)
|
Two of my 4 Dogs
|
I love Rotties. They are so loyal (I know all dogs are but Rotties are awesome).
|
I've had two rotties in the past, the first was the best dog I've ever known. Period. I still miss her and my life is worse for her being gone. Rotties are some of the best dogs around, and are part of the reason I really despise dog profiling laws in the US. People who actually know anything about Rotties know these are some of the best dogs in the world. Loyal, friendly, playful, smart, and all the other things you'd ever want in a dog. Rottweilers are the reason I was willing to give Bull breed dogs a chance, and I love them too.
My one complaint is with breeding, lots of health problems with many breeders. My dog died of bone cancer, which I understand is somewhat common. Black GT500, your dogs are gorgeous! |

Here's Libby. She's an English Lab. We just got her yesterday, and I'm not quite used to her yet. Whenever I pick her up, I expect her to act like a cat. :rofl2:

This is a really nice thread. Kudos for starting it. I have three mutts, a female lab pit mix, a male lab saluki mix and a female lab dalmation mix; all are black. (I'll post a pic if I can get them to stay in the same frame together.)
I agree that pit mixes make for great pets if they are raised properly. They naturally love people but can be dog aggressive if not socialized early on. Roxy is a beautiful dog and that Great Dane is striking.:nice: |

I have a heck of a time getting pictures of Triton just because he's so black he blends in with himself so there's no discernible expression, he's just a black blob... Nathan, your dog is a little sweetheart! I've never heard of an english lab, but she looks darling. |

She's a Sheltie and thinks we're her pets. We got her 2 1/2 years ago. Once she got through her eating holes in the carpet phase she actually turned out to be a good dog.

Now, I want a puppy!!

Ok, here's the menagerie- most of it- Pugsly the Puggle, Meta- American Bulldog with Mattie cat, Gish the black cat ( my son has another black cat), and my daughters evil kitten (she just had a bath there) whose name is supposed to be Anya, but everyone refers to as Poo-Rat.
I know it's a doggie thread but the cats and dogs hang together a lot around here... :) |

She had surgery a few months ago to remove items from her stomach, and an x-ray yesterday showed she ate something else again and suddenly started bleeding out at the vets office and had to be put down.
