This is all that remains of the bodyshop that did the front bumper upgrade on my mustang a year ago. Sadly there were 14 cars in here at the time of the fire, day before yetserday. No one was hurt. Cause unknown right now.

Getting back to the off-topic part of the thread .....

This dragonfly had no way of knowing there were 2 evil predators in the house it just flew into ... the thing was huge too, about 4" across .... the cats had a field day with it. Within a couple of minutes, it was "dragonfly down"

And a few minutes later ....

No, she didn't end up eating it, she was just moving it.
I ended up putting the thing out of its misery (it was still alive, but barely moving)

I had to scan the artwork with a handheld scanner and painstakingly re-work it in photoshop. I got a new full set printed out locally and after doing all the cabinet re-work, applied the new art and cleaned up the rest of the machine....

That's spectacular! What do you do for the internals and mechanicals of the machine? I wouldn't imagine there would be exactly a bevy of spare parts available.

Thanks! Actually, there are LOTS of websites that sell parts. They are all generic as far as the solenoids, switches, relays, etc. The only thing that's tough to come by is the artwork for some of these games, hence all the work I did above. Pinball is still a huge recreational activity for some people. There is a big market for them. There are currently 3 companies that are still making brand new pinball machines to this date. Jersey Jack, Stern, and Dutch Pinball.

I had already 'shopped' the machine previously. The artwork was all that was left to complete the restoration. What I mean by 'shopped' is a complete teardown of the playfield, removal of EVERYTHING, cleaning of the playfield, replacement of worn parts, rubber rings, plastics, etc. I also did a full LED kit which removes all the original incandescent bulbs and replaces them with LEDs. That's about it!

EDIT: I've got my eye on one of these...

Cool! Seems like the kind of thing I would enjoy restoring, but I'm terrible with photoshop. Might have to message you sometime if I find one to restore.
